Russ Tamblyn ("Dr. Lawrence Jacoby" on the series Twin Peaks), who was in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and who played "Riff," leader of The Jets in 1961's West Side Story, is the father of Amber Tamblyn, star of TV's Joan of Arcadia and The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants movies. Russ appeared with his daughter on Joan of Arcadia in three episodes playing "God." Russ's brother, (and Amber's uncle), Larry Tamblyn, was a member of the 1960s rock band The Standells (1966 hit single "Dirty Water"). Larry and Russ's father, Eddie Tamblyn, was a character actor who had 23 roles in the 1930s.
